Policies and Procedures

The Night Cat prides itself on hosting a plethora of music genres from across the globe and featuring artists from diverse cultures and communities. This is reflected by our patronage and staff, and we strive to create an environment that is safe, welcoming, and respectful of everyone.

We have a zero-tolerance policy toward any kind of bigotry, racism, sexual harassment, anti-social and bullying behaviour toward fellow patrons, artists, and staff. Failure to comply will result in immediate ejection or ban.

All of our staff are trained in dealing with claims of harassment in a discreet and efficient manner. Please do not hesitate to speak to one of us if any issues arise.

The Night Cat fully complies with Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol legislation. If ticketholders appear intoxicated or display aggressive behaviour, The Night Cat reserve the right to refuse or revoke entry regardless of ticket purchase or pre-purchase. In these circumstances, no refunds will be issued.

Valid ID must be shown upon entry. All shows are strictly 18+ unless explicitly stated to be an all-ages; or underage show.

While at the Night Cat, we fully endorse free expression by choice of clothing and footwear we ask you to be mindful that this is a high-volume establishment and broken glass is always a possibility.

Graffiti and vandalism will result in immediate ejection and a possible ban.

Occasionally we may feature artists whose lyrics, performance, or persona may cause offense or discomfort to some patrons. While we encourage the full artistic expression of those who play at The Night Cat, we would like to make clear that these performances may not necessarily reflect the core values of the venue and its staff.

This code of conduct is implemented to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our valued patrons while in attendance at The Night Cat.
