He makes UK garage, he's from Leeds, and he played his first gig at Beaver Works at sixteen. The bassline records he heard back then are still the base of what he makes. "Something about those early bassline bits just really stuck, probably the raw energy," he says. Ask what's on at home and it isn't garage. "I don't really tend to actually listen to much electronic stuff. I mostly listen to reggae/dancehall and new age/ambient stuff."

His records go out on Shall Not Fade, Dr Banana, Instinct, Warehouse Rave and his own Grand Soul Central. HAUSDOGS01, GSC004 and GSC005 have pushed his EPs past a million streams on Spotify, and Kettama, Peggy Gou, Chris Stussy, Job Jobse, Enzo Siragusa, Interplanetary Criminal, Silva Bumpa, Malugi, Rossi, Josh Baker and Palms Trax all play them. DJ Mag put him up for Breakthrough Producer in 2022. He holds a monthly show on Rinse FM.

A Boiler Room in Leeds turned into two sold-out All Night Long tours of the UK, through Mint Warehouse at home, The Loft in Manchester, Corsica Studios in London and Trinity Centre in Bristol. He sold out Circus in Tokyo and Osaka doing the same thing. He's played a main stage at Pitch.

"At a festival there's a much bigger prerogative to play more high energy from the off," he says. Five hours, he starts where he wants.

The Night Cat puts the decks in the middle of the room with the crowd on all four sides.
