DESCRIPTION:<p>Amsterdam&rsquo\;s Altın G&uuml\;n are heading back to Aust
 ralia in February and March 2027\, bringing their Turkish folk\, psych-roc
 k and dancefloor grooves to intimate venues and festival stages.<br><br>Si
 nce their 2018 debut On\, Altın G&uuml\;n have been putting their own spi
 n on Turkish folk and Anatolian psychedelia\, pairing winding bağlama mel
 odies with wah-wah guitar\, heavy basslines\, organ and percussion. Drawin
 g on pioneers including Barış Man&ccedil\;o and Erkin Koray\, it&rsquo\;
 s a sound steeped in tradition with plenty of room for experimentation - a
 nd dancing!<br><br>Their fifth album\, Garip\, pays tribute to legendary T
 urkish singer\, songwriter and bağlama player Neşet Ertaş. The band giv
 e his songs of love\, longing and everyday life a fresh take\, adding funk
 -rock\, synths\, slide guitar and strings by the Stockholm Studio Orchestr
 a. For vocalist and bağlama player Erdin&ccedil\; E&ccedil\;evit\, who gr
 ew up listening to Ertaş&rsquo\;s music\, it&rsquo\;s also a personal nod
  to the songs of his childhood.</p>
